SUMMERTIME TRAVELS...

Well, I have transitioned out of my North Carolina/working, and up to ALASKA for the summer to be with Shannon and her family. This is exciting time for me on many levels... its the first time I have gotten to see my nieces/nephew so quickly since last being with them (I usually see them about every other year), also Josh & Shan are building a house, so its fun to be a part of that. AND of course I love spending my summers in AK - there's nothing quite like an Alaskan summer - THE CAMPING IS SUCH REFRESHMENT TO MY SOUL!! I had thought I might get a job while I am here, but it hasnt turned out that way so far... I'm open to it and have applied several places, but for the most part I am just helping my sister with her kids/daycare kids... some of the other things I am doing ministry related this summer are; 1 - helping a friend organize/pack up about 20 yrs of her life for a move out of state and also 2 - helping volunteer with a Christian theraputic horse program (where they use horses as therapy for people with physical/mental/emotion difficulties). I am hoping for a few opportunities to get people excited about God/missions while I am here as well.
